Women's Grievance Committee

A Women's Grievance Committee has been formed in our institute as a preventive initiative to provide a safe, just, and friendly environment for every woman—students, teachers, and employees alike. Sensing the need to address gender-based issues with care and seriousness, the committee provides a forum where women can air their grievances, seek redressal, and expect justice.

This committee shall ensure the dignity of women on campus and raise awareness among them regarding their rights and obligations. It will function as per the guidelines issued by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and other concerned regulatory authorities to deter and deal with harassment, discrimination, or any other issues concerning women in academic life.

Objectives

  • To make the campus respectful and safe for all women with connections to the institute.
  • To accept, treat, and dispose of grievances or complaints about gender bias, discrimination, harassment, or other similar issues related to women within the institute.
  • To sensitize and educate staff members and students regarding gender equality, respectful conduct, and redressal mechanisms by conducting workshops, seminars, and awareness campaigns.
  • To foster gender justice and equal opportunity, thus advancing a healthy and equitable academic environment.
  • To maintain confidentiality and equitable inquiry processes in processing complaints and to advise appropriate actions on the basis of findings.
